Rain [Elsa X Reader]

Drops of rain come down hard on the window. The sound of a quill scribbling can be heard along with the crackling of the fire. A figure dressed in a captain’s uniform is seated at a desk next to a stack of papers.

Suddenly the sound of thunder goes off in the distance and the quill stops. You immediately look up from your desk and notice the light steps of a certain monarch.

The door opens and you're given the view of a scared looking Elsa with tears in her eyes. You notice the door start to ice as she closes it. Her steps leave a trail as she walks towards you.

Getting up from your desk, you walk over towards her. Without hesitation, you envelope her in a hug as she grips onto you like you're her lifeline.

Thunder goes off in the distance so you begin to hum. Hoping to drown out the thunder and calm down Elsa.

The thunder, the rain, the fire, they all seem fade as Elsa listens to you. Your chest vibrates as she lets her tears fall.

“I still miss t-them so much,” she whispers after a while.

“They said that they’d come back and then they didn't,” she continues.

“I know Snowflake. I know,” you whisper.

“They promised. They promised me. They prom-” her voice cuts as she begins to sob.

The room gets colder as she buries her face in your neck. Your grip tightens as a way to reassure her that you are still here.
